These are the thoughts going through my head after my husband's passing.  Hearing them in music is helping me process my grief.  I hope they can also bring some comfort and hope to anyone who has lost a loved one and a promise of something to hold on to make it through each day, to love and have been loved.

Elegy

This is for my husband, my best friend of almost 30 years.  It is for those of us who believe that the friendship  doesn't end with death and that we will be reunited in the afterlife where we can continue our journey together and how amazing that will be.

Sometimes I feel like all I have is a photos to remind me of what love is.

We could feel the love and support of so many people's thought's and prayers during his sickness and afterwards.

How to trust God in times like these, I honestly don't know, so this is my prayer.

Near Death

To show love to someone sometimes takes work.  But looking back makes it seem so simple.  Some times we get a chance to look back before it's too late.  This song is a reference to John Burke's book Imagine the God of Heaven which we read before his passing and it helped him navigate his death.
